I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Monday, September 2
We pray for all people, Lord God, and for the officials and authorities over us, that we might live quiet lives full of peace and Your wholeness.

Tuesday, September 3
Security concerns continue to grow in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Please pray for protection, prudence, and peace for each MAF family who serves there. Pray also for the thousands of Congolese who have lost their homes, villages, and loved ones due to ongoing violence.

Wednesday, September 4
Many MAF pilots and mechanics are going through standardization training in the mountains near MAF headquarters in Idaho this month. Please pray for safety and good teaching moments.

Thursday, September 5
Lift up Steve and Judy Holz, missionaries with MAF for over 37 years. They served in Zimbabwe, Transkei, Botswana, and Lesotho. Currently Steve maintains the three Cessna 206 training aircraft and oversees special aircraft projects for MAF’s global ministry. Judy leads a weekly ladies Bible study class in Boise.

Friday, September 6
Pray for MAF missionary kids who are traveling to college and other places of education this month. Pray for godly friends and wholesome living environments. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill them with hope and His direction.

Saturday, September 7
Lift up John and Nancy Hook, missionaries with MAF since 1975. They began their career as a pilot family in Indonesia and later were assigned to Haiti. Currently John is a recruiting mobilizer, encouraging perspective missionary pilots towards service with MAF.

Sunday, September 8
Praise God for His goodness to MAF and for sabbath rest, which is such a wonderful gift from God to stop and enjoy Him.
