November 11 – November 17, 2019

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
-2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

Monday, November 11
We are so thankful, Lord God, that Your Spirit does not give us a spirit of cowardice or cringing fear, but You are our source of boldness, calm, wise discretion, love, and self-control.

Tuesday, November 12
Please continue to pray for the Congolese people, 3,243 of whom have been infected by the current outbreak of Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). As of October 20, 2,171 have died from Ebola. MAF is available to provide flights, but currently the UN and WHO are filling this need.

Wednesday, November 13
MAF staff are offering sewing classes to women who live in the internally displaced people (IDP) refugee camp in Bunia, DRC. Pray for MAF chaplain Bisoke, who is organizing classes and the “JESUS” film work there as well.

Thursday, November 14
Lift up Adam Lewis, a teacher with MAF at Hillcrest School in Papua, Indonesia. Please pray for the students who are suffering from cold viruses right now. Pray also for wisdom for MAF leadership in dealing with the increased tensions in Papua due to civil unrest as it affects MAF staff and students.

Friday, November 15
Pray for a good meeting today between Moody Bible Institute and MAF. May our organizations continue to mutually affirm and strengthen each other to further the Gospel of Christ through aviation.

Saturday, November 16
Lift up Joyce Lin, a pilot and IT specialist with MAF in Indonesia. She has a busy fall travel schedule. So, please pray for traveling mercies and energy to successfully complete the upcoming trips for MAF Kodiak training in Nampa and then on to Uganda for the biannual MAF IT conference.

Sunday, November 17
Pray that MAF continues to be diligent in pursuing greater unity across the MAF family.
