February 24 – March 1, 2020

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
-Colossians 3:12 (NIV)

Monday, February 24
February is known as the month of love. Holy and compassionate God, help us to live our lives in tenderhearted ways, full of kindness, and marked by patient gentleness. May the world see Your love in and through us toward others.

Tuesday, February 25
Give thanks that MAF was able to deliver beans and rice for hungry people in Mocimboa da Praia, Mozambique after flooding washed away two major bridges, halting all traffic and leading to food shortages.

Wednesday, February 26
Pray against the further spread of the coronavirus Covid19, and particularly for protection of MAF staff and their families around the world as they travel.

Thursday, February 27
Lift up Steve and Debbie Robinson, a pilot/mechanic family who joined MAF in 1984. During their first term, they served in the very remote village of Ahuas, Honduras. Then they lived in Venezuela, where Steve became an instructor pilot overseeing flight training for new pilots. For their fourth term, the Robinsons were transferred to Oaxaca, Mexico, where Steve was an instructor pilot and Debbie did radio flight-following for the MAF pilots. Currently, Steve is an aircraft maintenance instructor at MAF headquarters in Nampa.

Friday, February 28
Pray for continued safety as MAF operates over inhospitable terrain and in challenging circumstances.

Saturday, February 29
Lift up Dan and Sylvia Rogers, who have served with MAF since 1980 in Suriname, Haiti, Honduras, Ecuador, and now, at MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho. While overseas, Dan served as a pilot/mechanic and Sylvia provided hospitality to work-team visitors, led church choirs, and taught piano lessons. Currently, Dan is the fabrication shop supervisor in the MAF aviation maintenance hangar in Nampa. Sylvia helps with child care as part of the MAF human resources logistics team.

Sunday, March 1
Praise God for the four families and two singles who completed their MAF orientation and are being sent out to various programs to serve. Pray for them as they depart for their new assignments. Pray also for more workers. The need is great.
