December 30, 2013 – January 5, 2014

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” — Psalm 91:14-15 (NIV 1984)

The Lord Bless you and keep you! The Lord let His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace! And may you all have a blessed, healthy and Happy New Year.

Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, December 30
Thankfully Haiti was spared from damage in this year’s hurricane season. Pray for rains during the upcoming dry season.
  • Tuesday, December 31
Pray for MAF missionary kids who are seniors in high school. Ask God to help them as they finish up this last semester of school. Pray for clarity and direction as they apply to colleges and contemplate their next steps.
  • Wednesday, January 1
As we begin this brand new year, pray that MAF will never forget what God has done in days gone by, but that we will be totally committed to whatever He has in store for us in the days to come.
  • Thursday, January 2
Give thanks for the Hupla language Bibles that arrived recently in Papua, Indonesia. This is only the third complete translation of the Bible out of several hundred languages there. It comes on the heels of the 50th anniversary of the Gospel coming to this area.
  • Friday, January 3
As we begin this new year, ask the Lord to continue to call people to serve Him in Christian missions.
  • Saturday, January 4
Several individual MAF staff members are dealing with physical issues. Ask the Lord for a healing touch for each one.
  • Sunday, January 5
Please pray for the managers of MAF’s overseas programs as they lead diverse teams committed to bringing the Gospel to remote areas and making life better for isolated people.
