Today and tomorrow, thousands of young adults are making their way to St. Louis, Missouri, for Urbana 12, the largest missions conference specifically for college students. They are on their way to an exciting, action-packed conference where they’ll explore global ministry opportunities, meet mission reps, and make new friends and meaningful memories.
The conference runs from December 27– 31. Would you please join our staff in praying––starting today and daily throughout the conference––for the thousands of young adults and the impact this conference will have on their lives and on God’s Kingdom. And who knows, some of these may find their way into MAF!
Here are some suggestions for prayer:
• Travel mercies––Pray for safe travel for all the attendees traveling to and from St. Louis, and moving around in the city; and for cooperative weather patterns on those travel days.
• Health and stamina––Pray for good health leading up to and during the conference. They’ll need all the energy they can muster (long days) and a fully functioning immune system.
• Preparation––Pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts of those attending, and that they would clearly hear His voice throughout the entire conference.
• Divine appointments––Pray that the Lord would direct these young adults and lead them into divine appointments … conversations and connections.
• Discernment––Pray that attendees would absorb all that they learn and in the days following the conference, process what they learned and discern what the Lord is calling them to do.
Thank you for praying for these precious lives as they seek the Lord’s will and how they can be used to reach the world for Christ.
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay.” — Hebrews 10:35-37
