Read: Luke 12:22-34

It was 9 o’clock and a teary-eyed redhead stood in front of me, clutching her finger as she held it up for me to inspect.

“Daddy, you said you would get me another Band-Aid before I went to bed,” she said.

Her finger was naked. The fuse was lit.

“But you didn’t,” she said.
