He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
Proverbs 28:13 (NIV)

Sunday, October 31
It’s true that when we fail to admit our mistakes, try to hide our sins, or neglect to renounce our wrongdoings, we do not prosper in life. Lord God, in You we find the mercy and compassion that we need for every season of life.

Monday, November 1
Please lift up the entire MAF team in Haiti! Pray for God’s protection, wise insight, and His peace as they live and work in a country that is going through increasingly difficult times.

Tuesday, November 2
Praise God for MAF’s Internally Displaced People (IDP) Camp ministry and the gift to purchase 20 more sewing machines for the third camp in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Pray for Pastor Bisoke and the six sewing teachers and six counselors as they work with the refugees who come for times of fellowship, singing, worship, counseling, and sewing-as-a-trade classes.

Wednesday, November 3
Lift up Karlene Stehling, who joined MAF in 1973 with her pilot/mechanic husband, Joe Stehling. They served in Ecuador for 11 years. Joe served as a flight instructor with the MAF Flight Training department. He did this until his untimely death in 1991. Currently, Karlene works as the onboarding manager for staff to serve overseas. She also plays an important role on the candidate committee. Pray for God’s discernment and wisdom as she works with the new MAF missionary families.

Thursday, November 4
The Monday-Wednesday-Friday “airbridge” flights continue to and from Beni, Aru, and Mahagi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). These shuttle flights give safe passage to about 80 passengers each day, saving many from using perilous alternate routes through insurgent warfare. Pray for the love of Christ to shine through the MAF DRC team to their passengers, including teachers, medical workers, and traumatized Congolese.

Friday, November 5
Lift up Lary and Sheryl Strietzel, a pilot/mechanic family serving in northeast DRC. Recently, Strietzels were in Indiana on home assignment. Pray for them as they return to DRC with all its changing dynamics. Sheryl’s ministry includes supporting Lary, offering hospitality for MAF guests, as well as praying for and sharing the gospel with hospital patients.

Saturday, November 6
Pray for believers in the mountain areas of Lesotho that God guides and helps them as followers of Christ.
