July 29 – August 4, 2013

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”— Proverbs 16:3 (NIV 1984)

“Our ordinary views of prayer are not found in the New Testament. We look upon prayer as a means for getting something for ourselves; the Bible idea of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself.”— Oswald Chambers

Priorities for Prayer

Mission Aviation Fellowship is grateful for the many friends who pray daily for this ministry. Thank you for your faithful intercession!

  • Monday, July 29
Praise God for the first flight to a new airstrip in Asia in July.
  • Tuesday, July 30
Pray for the physical health of MAF missionaries serving overseas.
  • Wednesday, July 31
Give thanks for the new KODIAK airplane being dedicated to God’s service in a ceremony today at the AirVenture Oshkosh airshow. We are so grateful for the Lord’s provision. This airplane will do His work in Papua, Indonesia.
  • Thursday, August 1
Pray for the Frey, Hochstetler, and Wismer families who are holding down the fort in Kinshasa, DRC, while other families are temporarily away. Be in prayer for their continued endurance and encouragement.
  • Friday, August 2
Please lift up MAF missionaries currently attending language school. Pray for them as they become immersed in their new culture and discover its subtleties.
  • Saturday, August 3
Please pray for the MAF women serving overseas. Many carry a heavy parenting load and are often involved in other ministry work or home schooling. Pray that they will find joy as they faithfully serve.
  • Sunday, August 4
Let’s pray today for several new families who have just accepted a call to serve God through MAF. They now begin the process of seeking supporters who will pray for their work and/or support them financially.
