December 3 – December 9, 2018

From the end of the earth will I cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and fainting; lead me to the rock that is higher than I [yes, to the rock that is too high for me].
-Psalm 61 (AMPC)

Monday, December 3
Lord God, You are the Rock we run to for sanctuary and salvation. You are the Rock higher than us, as the psalmist wrote. You are grander than all the magnificent mountains You’ve created, and worthy of our praise and daily trust. (Towering granite inselberg rock near the Tanzania border with Mozambique. Tuesday, December 4
Pray for the Church throughout Mozambique, that believers will mature in God’s Word and be courageous to follow Christ in word and deed. Pray also for the MAF team in Mozambique. Spiritual warfare is very real here. The blending of tribal superstitions and witchcraft is common. (This photo was taken December 2nd in a local Mozambique church service I attended. This lady led many of the worship songs with her beautiful voice.)

Wednesday, December 5
Pray for the MAF Advancement Services team during their busiest season of the year as they process donations from our generous supporters. They have some particular challenges this year due to health issues. So please lift them all up in prayer.

Thursday, December 6
Lift up Chuck and Susan Weatherstone, who are currently serving as MAF mobilizers in southeastern USA. They have over 30 years of service as a pilot/mechanic family with MAF, including 19 years in Africa and 9 years in Latin America. Pray for them as they travel in their new roles as MAF recruiters.

Friday, December 7
Pray for the avionics team in Nampa, Idaho, as they have much to prepare for the major Caravan avionics upgrade in Papua that will take place next month.

Saturday, December 8
Lift up Jonathan and Carisa Webb, a maintenance specialist family in Chad, Africa. This is their first year in Chad. So please pray for them as they adjust to the culture, language, hot weather, and different spiritual climate. They are facing many new challenges as they set up their home and get acquainted with their community.

Sunday, December 9
Pray for the MAF testing team as they work toward implementing RAMCO, the maintenance software that MAF has been trying to implement for a couple years. After months of preparation and labor, their first acceptance testing session went well!
