December 16 – 22, 2013

“Blessed woman, who believed what God said, believed every word would come true!” And Mary said, “I’m bursting with God-news; I’m dancing the song of my Savior God. God took one good look at me, and look what happened …What God has done for me will never be forgotten.” — Luke 1:45-50 (The Message)

“Yet as I read the birth stories about Jesus I cannot help but conclude that though the world may be tilted toward the rich and powerful, God is tilted toward the underdog.” — Philip Yancey
