When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
—Matthew 9:36(NLT)

May we respond to people with compassion, following Christ’s example.

Tuesday, August 23
Please pray for a good ferry flight for Dylan and Valerie as they fly a Cessna Caravan belonging to MAF International from Kansas to Cairns, Australia. This airplane will then be prepared at the Mareeba Training Centre for service in Papua New Guinea.
-
Wednesday, August 24
Due to the current crisis and insecurity in South Sudan, MAF’s South Sudan, Kenya, and Uganda teams, along with members of MAF’s Disaster Response team, have been working together to meet a heavy increase in flight requests, both for evacuations and urgent supplies. Now the teams are moving away from evacuation flights to supporting critical partner projects within South Sudan. However, the rainy season and changing security picture makes planning a challenge. Please pray for the health and safety of MAF staff as well as for the people of South Sudan, and for lasting peace.

Thursday, August 25
Please ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of MAF Advocates who will be attending the annual Adovcate Summit in Idaho next month.

Pray for the Mobilization team (formerly called Recruiting) as they seek to bring new, qualified, spirit-filled, Great Commission-minded staff into MAF.

Ask the Lord for His wisdom and clear guidance as MAF leadership strategizes and provides direction.
