Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, August 15

Praise God that we are His masterpieces, new creatures in Christ. Pray that we do the good things He prepared in advance for us to do, joining Him in His good plans.

  • Tuesday, August 16

Alas de Socorro Ecuador (ADSE), the MAF affiliate organization in Ecuador, transported two patients with spinal injuries from the jungle town of Coca to the capital in Quito, Ecuador, last week. Please pray for healing, both physically and spiritually.

  • Wednesday, August 17

Long-time Avant missionaries, Dwain and Lois Holmes, will be hosting a group of Achuar church leaders they are discipling this week in Makuma, Ecuador. Pray for an effective week, and safe MAF/ADSE flights back to their villages.

  • Thursday, August 18

MAF/ADSE pilots are flying a large group of Cuban-American believers who have come to Ecuador to minister with a local missionary in several jungle communities. Pray that God’s purposes will be accomplished.

  • Friday, August 19

Pray for the people of Ecuador, as well as ADSE, as they deal with challenges due to Ecuador’s weakening national economy. Pray that the economy will turn around soon.

  • Saturday, August 20

Praise God that the MAF/ADSE team was able to write or translate over 1,500 pages of manuals, making dozens of trips to Quito, Ecuador, to the DGAC (Director General of Civil Aviation) offices. Now they have their new AOC (Air Operator’s Certificate) in hand!

  • Sunday, August 21

Lift up Matthew and Lisa Lind as they serve in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Matthew assists in managing the daily and strategic operations at the MAF base in Kinshasa, the capital city. He assists with the management and maintenance of MAF’s hangars, housing, and vehicle fleet. While Lisa’s primary responsibility is caring for her family, she takes advantage of opportunities to minister to other missionaries and local families as needs arise.
