Yahweh, we don’t want to be simpletons who put our trust in falsehoods. Instead, please help us act sensibly and think about how we are spending our lives.

Tuesday, August 18
Give thanks that the MAF Uganda team was able to attain permissions to fly urgently needed COVID-19 test kits to the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where there has been an increase in cases. Photo by Agung Fauzi.

Wednesday, August 19
Pray for the poor living in Haiti who are struggling to cope with no income due to COVID-19 and other reasons. Pray for Christ-given solutions where there seems to be no hope.

Thursday, August 20
Lift up Tiffany Brame, a maintenance specialist who is preparing to serve in Indonesia. Pray for her as she builds her team of prayer and financial partners. Praise God that she now has all of her one-time outgoing support and only 20% more of her monthly ministry support is still needed!

Friday, August 21
Pray for healing for families grieving the loss of loved ones through senseless acts of violence in South Sudan. We thank God for the witness of churches across Juba and the country..

Saturday, August 22
Lift up Daniel and Kacy Bristol, a pilot/mechanic family serving the Lord with MAF in Indonesia. Pray for Daniel that his airstrip checkout will continue to go well as he learns how to operate safely in Papua. Pray also for Christ’s healing peace as the Bristols grieve the lose of their coworker and friend, Joyce Lin.

Sunday, August 23
Pray for God’s strength to empower the MAF West DRC team as they seek to diligently serve Him, especially with newly added responsibilities due to the unexpected passing of Maurice Mvumbi, their administrator. Ask that God will direct them to the right person to serve as their new head administrator.
