God’s Divine Design

One of the privileges of ministering in Haiti is the opportunity to serve alongside people from so many different countries and cultures. For the past nine weeks, a group of Haitian, American, and Canadian-Korean young people have come to our house and studied Eph. 4, Rom. 12, and I Cor. 12 together. What motivates you in life and ministry? What is your primary motivational spiritual gift? So few believers can truly answer this question, which is vital to understanding how we approach life, and in particular, what drives our ministries and calling. How can we work together, allowing God to work in and through us, to see the Kingdom of God grow in supernatural ways if we truly don’t understand how God has designed us in the first place?

Missionaries in HaitiMichael and I have really taken this to heart, seeking to understand God’s call for each of us individually and as a family. And how does that calling work together with others, to make the most substantial impact on the world around us? In my life, my primary spiritual gift is Exhortation: coming alongside my brothers and sisters with encouragement, equipping and empowering them to reach the fullest potential that God has created within them. God continues to challenge me to leave my comfort zone and focus more and more on mentoring and training the future leaders of our church, community, city, and eventually, the country of Haiti. Please join us in prayer as we seek to honor God, growing disciples, teaching the Word of God, and watching Him draw others into a closer walk with Him.
