Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, September 29
    Please pray for MAF missionaries John and Cora Lou Miller, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week! Give thanks for their 43 years of service with MAF, including 26 years in Indonesia. John Miller runs MAF’s machine shop and supervises volunteers. Read more.
  • Tuesday, September 30
    Pray for the Harkonen family, serving with MAF in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. All four family members have been extremely ill. Especially pray for daughter Janey, as they are uncertain what her sickness is. Learn more about this family.
  • Wednesday, October 1
    Pray for the entire MAF team in eastern DRC. In addition to the Harkonens, many other team members have been hospitalized in recent days due to illness. Pray also for staff members who carry an extra load when their coworkers are sick.
  • Thursday, October 2
    Pray for Cher Cadd, who serves with MAF in eastern DRC. Cher was recently medevaced to Nairobi for surgery after she fell and tore her hamstring. Pray for healing. Read more about the Cadd family.
  • Friday, October 3
    The Papua Hope School is starting its seventh year of providing quality Christian education to school children from remote villages. Give thanks for the dedicated students and staff and ask God to bless this endeavor. MAF was active in its founding.
  • Saturday, October 4
    Due to impending construction, the MAF team in Lesotho is preparing to relocate its base to a different airport. Pray that the new facilities will be adequate and that the move will not be too disruptive to MAF’s services. Read more.
  • Sunday, October 5
    Continue to be in prayer for the MozMed flying doctor service, which MAF supports in Mozambique. The program is now without doctors. Please ask God to bring committed physicians with a heart to serve the people of Africa. Learn more.
