Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, January 30

Pray that we will reflect God’s goodness and kindness to those around us.

  • Tuesday, January 31

Thank God for His work among the Kora people who live on the side of a mountain in Papua, Indonesia. MAF helped with survey flights, initially. New Tribes Missionaries are seeing the fruit of their intensive chronological teaching through the Bible after years of living among them.

  • Wednesday, February 1

Praise the Lord for the MAF DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) team that was able to fly key people and civilians to participate in the peace process to avert civil unrest and set up plans for elections later this year.

  • Thursday, February 2

Lift up Steve and Debbie Robinson, who have served with MAF since 1984. They served several terms in Central America, including Honduras and Venezuela. Currently Steve works at MAF headquarters in Nampa as an Aviation Maintenance Instructor.

  • Friday, February 3

Please pray for the MAF team in PalangkaRaya, Indonesia, as they grieve the loss of one of our national staff, Robi, age 35, who passed away unexpectedly. He was stricken with chest pain while at the MAF hangar. Our team performed CPR and rushed him to the hospital where he died in the arms of one of our staff. Pray for Robi’s widow and baby. The team members will be traveling seven hours by road to Robi’s village to participate in the traditional grieving process together.

  • Saturday, February 4

Lift up Dan and Sylvia Rogers who have served with MAF since 1980 in Suriname, Haiti, Honduras, Ecuador, and now at MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho. Dan assists in the fabrication shop, which is part of the maintenance shop at the MAF hangar. He oversees the volunteers who make tools for MAF overseas bases. Sylvia helps at the front desk, with baby sitting children of MAF candidates, and helping with various MAF events.

  • Sunday, February 5

Today, Lord willing, we will celebrate 936 days of accident-free flying. Praise God for the diligence of our pilots and mechanics to make this possible and for God’s protection.
