Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, January 20
    Please pray that God will comfort the family of Lesly Gassast, who passed away on January 11. Lesly served for many years as the lead hangar assistant at the MAF base in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
  • Tuesday, January 21
    An MAF family in Costa Rica is in need of travel documents so that they can visit the U.S. Please ask the Lord to provide the documents in a timely manner.
  • Wednesday, January 22
    Pray for the www.maf.org/martinDick and Mary Martin family, serving with MAF in Papua, Indonesia. Dick is chief of aircraft maintenance at the MAF base in Sentani. The Martins have been with MAF for 23 years. Learn more about this family at www.maf.org/martin.
  • Thursday, January 23
    The MozMed flying doctor program is seeking a doctor and a dentist to join the program mid-2014, when the staff currently serving will depart. Please ask the Lord to raise up doctors with a heart to serve in Mozambique. (Interested medical personnel may email communications@maf.org for more information.)
  • Friday, January 24
    Give thanks for a successful Christmas outreach event at the MAF hangar at the N’dolo airport in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Some 200 people attended and 32 raised their hands to indicate decisions for Christ after the message portion of the program.
  • Saturday, January 25
    It’s rainy season in Mozambique! Give thanks for the precious water, but also pray that roads and huts will not sustain too much damage from the storms.
  • Sunday, January 26
    Please lift up Joey and Kathleen Martin and their two young children, serving with MAF in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Joey is a pilot/mechanic. Read more about their ministry at www.maf.org/jmartin.
