“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.” — Luke 1:34-35(NIV 1984)

“His star still shines and continues to light our way to the path of peace and the celebration of His love.” — Anonymous

Priorities for Prayer

  • Monday, December 9
Continue to pray for people of the Philippines still in need after the typhoon, and pray also for the MAF/NTM team delivering food and supplies.
  • Tuesday, December 10
Many MAF programs are in need of more pilot/mechanics. Pray that God will bring more qualified candidates to MAF while he strengthens and encourages those serving overseas.
  • Wednesday, December 11
The Jeremiah Hartin family has been assigned to serve the Lord with MAF in Papua, Indonesia. They will depart for Indonesian language school in late January. Pray for them as they say goodbyes and prepare for this move. Learn more about the Hartins at http://www.maf.org/hartin.
  • Thursday, December 12
Trying to maintain a “normal family life” can be challenging for missionary families. Mothers often bear a heavy parenting burden. Pray for MAF missionary families—that God will bless them as they deal with the challenges of everyday life.
  • Friday, December 13
Please lift up Kevin and Beth Lynne and their family, serving with MAF in Papua, Indonesia. Kevin is a pilot/mechanic. Learn more about the family at www.maf.org/lynne.
  • Saturday, December 14
Please lift up MAF missionary families who have returned to the U.S. for a brief time of furlough. Ask the Lord to keep them safe as they travel to meet with friends and supporters, and that they will enjoy a time of rest and renewal.
  • Sunday, December 15
Pray for prospective MAF pilots as they prepare for technical evaluation. There is so much to know and MAF’s standards are high. Pray for clear memories and quick recall.
