August 6 – 12, 2012

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”
— Psalm 46:1-4 (NIV)

Priorities for Prayer

Mission Aviation Fellowship is grateful for the many friends who pray daily for this ministry. Thank you for your faithful intercession!

  • Monday, August 6
Pray for MKs who are beginning their college experience in the U.S., leaving their families behind on the mission field.
  • Tuesday, August 7
Pray for Warren Veal of MAF’s Mozambique program. Warren’s arm was injured when the family’s home was broken into last week. Pray for swift healing. Warren and his family will be recuperating back at home in South Dakota.
  • Wednesday, August 8
Pray for newly appointed missionaries as they begin their journey that leads to serving God overseas. Ask the Lord to raise up supporters with the vision of how they can be a part of ministry to the isolated people of the world.
  • Thursday, August 9
Please lift up Barbara and J.C. Bowman. Barb is MAF’s Vice President of Ministry Advancement, and J.C. holds a leadership position in the Young Life youth ministry. Ask the Lord to refresh them during these summer months when both are travelling so much.
  • Friday, August 10
Pray for the MAF team in South Sudan as they handle extreme workloads with a limited number of staff.
  • Saturday, August 11
Pray for the protection of MAF staff in Haiti. There has been more crime happening against Americans, including attempted break-ins at several MAF homes. Remember to pray for the Schandorff and Rogers families who will be arriving in Haiti soon.
  • Sunday, August 12
Please pray for the students, teachers, and administration of the schools attended by MAF’s MKs. Include in your prayer those missionary families who homeschool their children.
