April 6 – April 12, 2020

But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.
-Daniel 2:28 (NIV)

Monday, April 6
Lord God Almighty, You didn’t have to reveal Your glory to us, but You do! Our lives are right-sized when we enjoy Your presence and delight in Your beauty. With so much heartbreak around us, we are grateful that You make Your home in us through Jesus Christ.

Tuesday, April 7
Praise God for MAF staff all around the world who are faithfully carrying out their responsibilities in the face of uncertainty and difficulty.

Wednesday, April 8
Pray for MAF staff who are struggling to manage the challenges of homeschooling their children while also trying to work from home.

Thursday, April 9
Lift up Mike and Sharol Shutts, who have served with MAF for over 20 years. Currently they are working in Kampala, Uganda, where Mike serves as the director of maintenance for the East Democratic Republic of the Congo (EDRC) program. Sharol is part of the leadership team for a ladies’ Bible study group and she manages a small guesthouse where MAF families can stay when they bring airplanes for maintenance.

Friday, April 10
Pray for the many MAF donors across the country who have lost their jobs or whose businesses are suffering. Pray that God will strengthen their faith and provide for their needs. Also pray for MAF staff who are preparing for their overseas assignments and trying to raise their support when face-to-face meetings, group events, and travel must be postponed.

Saturday, April 11
Lift up Dave and Erin Simon, who have been serving as an MAF pilot/mechanic family in Haiti since 2016. Erin is engaged in directing the education of their four children while fostering close relationships in the community. The Simons are also involved in ministry at their local church in Sunday school, worship, and on the board of elders.

Sunday, April 12
Today we celebrate that Jesus Christ has risen from the dead, paying the penalty of our sin on the cross of Calvary. Because of this reality, we have hope and we can rejoice in the midst of hard times.
